My name is Addie Batts Taylor and I am the daughter of the late George Dennis Batts, Jr. Shortly after high school my dad married my mom, who by the way was also a member of the NBF class of 69, Claudia Locke. They had two daughters - my sister Jessica, and me. They moved to NC, which is where my dad was from. On August 18, 1978 he was killed in an accident. He was riding his motorcyle and was hit by a train. I was only 4 years old at the time. I have heard alot of stories about him through the years from family and seen alot of pictures but I don't really have any personal memories of him. I'm gonna let my mom know about this site and maybe she can add more about him.
My mom and sister and I remained in NC and all still live here today. My sister has 3 daughters and I have a son and a daughter, so my dad would be a grandpa if he was still alive.
I would love to hear some stories from any of his fellow classmates that knew him.
