Pam was my across-the-street neighbor. We played together as children and went through school together. Pam was a lovely person. She was somewhat shy and quiet. She graduated from high school, and became a hair stylist. Pam married and had one daughter. She and her daughter were killed in a tragic car accident not many years later. A truck driver rear-ended them at a traffic light. Her parents were devastated. She was an only child. I went by our old homes recently, and her parents no longer own the home.
