It was so good to see Randy at our 50th Reunion in 2019, his first reunion. He was able to have dinner with us at a restaurant overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway and we were able to catch up after all these years.
Randy was in Demolay with us, had one of the (the?) highest SAT scores at Forrest and I last saw him as a Frosh at U of F. After Fraternity life (!) prematurely expedited him into the Air Force (!), Randy went back on the GI Bill, finished college and began a career as a Financial Planner. Turns out, unbeknowingly, he was in Atlanta near me for many years before relocating to Wisconsin near his wife's family home. And had only fairly recently retired.
We will miss Randy, as we do all our classmates who have left us too soon. And pray for another reunion in a Heavenly place!
I didn't have a lot of friends in high school, but Randy was certainly one of them. It was great to have dinner with him and Diane at the 50th. We stayed up way too late got to spend some quality time catching up. Really wish we had gotten back together afterward. Rest in peace my brother.
