I grew up with David in Ortega Hills, but lost track of him-and many others-when I went off to college. I remember David as being a good kid - just trying to get through those awkward teenage years without getting in too much trouble. Somehow, both of us made it through those years relatively unscathed. I got back in touch with David about a year or so ago through Facebook and had planned to catch up with him in person sometime soon. Sadly, that did not happen and never will. Lessons learned at 70 yrs. old: whenever the opportunity comes to catch up with an old friend - don't put it off. Hug your loved ones every chance you get, and laugh as much as possible-life is short-live it to the fullest!
