Me and my children and grandchildren and great friends

Two of my five kids live within ten miles our home.

What did you do right after high school?

5 days after graduation, I enter the USMC, while in I was first assigned to the 2nd battalion 8th Marines and our battalion assignment was over security of GITMO, Cuba. I served in country for 6 months. Upon returning home I received combat orders to Vietnam, which changed with I had arrived on Okinawa. I was reassigned to 3rd battalion 9th Marines at Camp Schwaab, Okinnawa. While there I played football on the team that represented all Marines Bases on the island. After the season was completed, my tour of duty was up. I wanted to continue to play football on the jr college level. I traveled to Yuma, Arizona, to tryout for the Arizona Western College. I made the starting offensive line for the next two years. my second season at Western our team won the National junior college athletic association championship title. I was then recruited up to Utah State University to be an Aggie. All my years of heavy weightlifting was paying off, however my height only increase by two inches. I was dropped from the team after spring training. While attending USU, I found my eternal sweetheart, and that's another story to tell!

What past jobs have you had and which ones have you enjoyed the most?

working fulltime for Utah Army Guard as a helicopter mechanic and flying status crew chief. Police Officer. F-16 mechanic at Hill Air Force Base

What do you do now?

F-16 depot mechanic for the Air Force

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm my ward's mission leader. I do tons of geneaology and Temple work for the dead. I help in bringing families together for time and all eternity . Families can be together forever. Ride motorcycles , I prefer my Honda goldwing. Teach and workout on the weights.

Any grandkids? How many?

Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Currently, I have 17 grandchildren!!!!

Travel much? Where have you been?

My eternal sweetheart and I back and forth to see our children who live out of state. My son Paul is a commissioned Army Officer, stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. My oldest son lives in Las Vegas, and my baby daughter is living with husband and their two sons in Vancouver, Washington

What is the farthest you have been from home?

My farthest distance that I have travelled from home is Okinawa in 1970 and Kuwait. I was serving in the Utah Army Guard, while deployed to Kuwait, I was there when September the 11th happened.

Where is your favorite place to go?

The scenic parts of Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California, Oregon and lower Washington state.

What are your top 10 places to visit if you could, or if you have?

Kennedy Space Center, Disneyland, Disney World, Temple Square in Utah, Europe , Okinawa, Japan, Cuba, Nauvoo, Adam-on-di-ah-man, Martin's Cove.

How old do you feel? How young do you feel?

I really do feel great for my age. I directly give credit to my weightlifting training.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

I am good looking 😀

What are your favorite memories of Forrest High School?

Classmates and teammates that were my friend and I was theirs.

Charlton Heston, The Osmonds, President Gordon B. Hinckley.

What are some cool things you have done?

I loved being a Peace Officer, member of the Army Guard crash crew and EMT team member. Team member of FEMA emergency response team for the Army Guard.
